The Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) has published Geospatial Positioning Accuracy Standards designed specifically for digital spatial data products covered in the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (FGDC-STD-007.3-1998). It is intended as a testing and reporting methodology with positional accuracy at ground scale, to enable users to directly compare and assess the accuracy of data sets for specific applications.
