LASTools is a set utilities (built on LASLib) designed to efficiently perform an assortment of reformatting and data inspection operations on .las/.laz files. Functions include thinning, merging, tiling, clipping, filtering, triangulating, rasterising, scaling, viewing and contour extraction as well as a file conversion to/from ASCII and ESRI .shp Shapefiles.
