System for Automated Geoscientific Analyses (SAGA) GIS is free and open source processing engine for geospatial data. It has been specifically designed for specialized DTM analysis including morphometric and hydrologic studies. SAGA supports various raster and vector (including LAS and SAGA point clouds) formats, DEM generation, analysis and visualization (e.g. 3D point cloud viewer & bare earth extraction), and provides a platform for researchers and scientists to implement their own algorithms.
